Howdy
Hi, my name is Eli with a Y.
I’m a Wedding and Elopement Photographer here in Bend, Oregon. I specialize in photographing People. I love hanging out with Humans who are in love. I built this website so you can see my work and get to know me better.
I love being married and having the opportunity to photograph other couples getting married. I’ve been photographing weddings since 2007 and I love it. Whether you’re getting married, engaged, or just want portraits, feel free to email, call, or text me with any questions. I look forward to getting to know you!

My Ideal clients?
Adventurous
I hope that I connect with fun loving couples that have a desire to embrace the outdoors and aren’t afraid to get dirty. You never know if Oregon is going to throw some snow or rain your way, or even a little smoke. No matter the conditions there is always an opportunity for some amazing portraits.
creativity
Over the years I have learned to be creative. Most importantly I have learned that telling a story and capturing memories is what is most important. That being said my goal is to capture your day in a creative way.
experience
I know that every wedding day or session will be different and have its own challenges. Whether it is weather or harsh light, I have learned to take photos in every situation. Even when the lights go out I’m prepared with my own.
Turnaround
One of the processes that I pride myself on is my editing and delivery process. Most weddings can be turned around and delivered within a week or two. Most importantly, I maintain a consistent and predictable edit every time.

frequently asked questions
how far in advance should we book you for our wedding?
Most weekend weddings book an average of 14 months out. My busiest season is from June 1st through October 30th. For weekday weddings and elopements 3-6 months is the average. For family sessions, it is about the same.
how do we pick a location to take photos?
Bend is a very seasonal location with warm summer days and a cold snowy winter. I have been here since 2015 and know most of the areas that are best each month. Let me know what you’re looking for and your date and I can help you find the best spot for your time of year.
What is the best time of day for photos?
there are two times a day that are ideal early morning just after sunrise and an hour before sunset. Although this is ideal, I’m happy to work around schedules that may fall out of these times, but if you can fall into these two times you’ll get the best photos. Google has the best results for Sunrise and Sunset.
My Photography PHILOSOPHY
Since 2008, I have photographed over 700 weddings and countless portrait sessions. I have used several cameras and photographed weddings in different countries around the world. In that time, I learned how to work with light to create the best images in any scenario. Knowing that every wedding, engagement, or portrait session will be different, I have practiced so that I am able to work in any situation.
One thing I love about my job is that I get to work with people. As a sociology major, I have always been interested in where people come from and what makes them happy. I enjoy getting to know my clients, so I can better serve them whether it’s the most important day of their lives or them in the company of their loved ones.
Last, I love the art of photography, so I am constantly learning how to better my craft. From camera equipment and post-processing to learning how to make my clients feel more comfortable behind the camera. I know that I can always improve and I love that my job has no creative ceiling.
