Being a photographer here in Bend, Oregon I have the opportunity to photograph wedding, engagements, and elopements in some amazing locations. The lake up at Broken Top has been on my list of locations, so when my brother proposed to his girlfriend I knew we had to take them up there for a shoot.
Starting from the Broken Top Crater Trailhead the hike is about 1 hour. We took photos around 4 pm and the light was perfect. The weather was also plenty warm, so we were brave enough to jump into the lake. The water is as cold and refreshing as you would imagine.
