I love photographing weddings at Brasada Ranch. The mountain views, open high desert landscape, and warm evening light make it one of my favorite places to photograph a celebration in Central Oregon. I’m Ely Roberts, a Bend-based wedding photographer, and this page brings together real weddings, an intimate elopement, and a styled winter shoot I’ve photographed here.
If you’re planning a Brasada Ranch wedding, explore the galleries below for a sense of the setting and how different couples have made it their own. Then get in touch about your wedding date—I’d love to hear what you’re planning.
Why I Love Photographing Weddings at Brasada Ranch
There’s room here for both sweeping landscape portraits and the small, personal moments that make a wedding meaningful. I love photographing a couple against the mountains, then turning toward the laughter, hugs, and reactions happening around them. The setting is beautiful, but your people and your connection are what make the photographs yours.
The weddings below show a range of celebrations: Suzy and Chad’s late-October wedding, Rachel and Ryan’s sunset portraits, Taliesin and Eric’s May 4th celebration, and Lauryn and Brent’s elopement with immediate family. That variety is part of what keeps me excited to return.
Brasada Ranch Wedding Venue: Location & Spaces
Brasada Ranch is in Powell Butte, near Bend, Oregon. It’s a destination resort with Cascade Mountain views and indoor and outdoor event spaces. For current options, guest capacities, pricing, and availability, visit Brasada Ranch’s official wedding website.
The Barn
The Barn offers a rustic setting for ceremonies and receptions, with an outdoor grass terrace. Its indoor and outdoor options give couples several ways to shape the celebration. Ask the venue team which layouts suit your guest count and season.
Trestle Bridge & Trestle Pond
Trestle Bridge is a distinctive ranch landmark with mountain views and a beautiful setting for portraits. Nearby Trestle Pond is an outdoor ceremony option. The bridge portraits in Suzy and Chad’s gallery are a good place to start if you’re imagining this backdrop for your own photographs.
Wild Rye Lawn
Brasada lists Wild Rye Lawn among its outdoor wedding spaces. If mountain views are a priority, discuss this option with the venue team and confirm which spaces will be part of your event.
Planning Your Brasada Ranch Wedding Photography
Make Time for Sunset Portraits
Some of my favorite photographs here happen as the sun drops and the sky starts to change color. Rachel and Ryan’s gallery includes sunset images and portraits in the soft light just after sunset. We can build a short portrait window into your timeline so you can enjoy that light and return to your guests.
Leave Room for the Moments Between
A thoughtful timeline makes space for getting ready, family photographs, and time together without rushing from one part of the day to the next. I’ll help you think through photography timing alongside your planner and the venue team, with room for the moments you can’t schedule.
Plan for Your Season
Your wedding date affects the light, sunset time, and how comfortable outdoor portraits will feel. Talk with the venue about a weather backup, and we can plan portrait timing around the season and your ceremony. If you’re comparing other locations, explore my Bend wedding photography page or my Central Oregon elopement guide.

I’m particularly proud of this panoramic made from 21 images. We were also pretty lucky to have such a great sunset that night.
Some of my favorite images from the last couple of years have been taken just after the sun goes down and the sky starts to change colors. Here is an example of that soft beautiful light.

Lauryn and Brent’s Brasada Ranch Elopement
Lauryn and Brent chose Brasada Ranch for their elopement due to the beautiful landscape and mountain views. Brasada is one of Bend’s most popular wedding venues. These two were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. It was a pleasure photographing their day with just their immediate family. Weddings don’t get any more intimate than this.
