Oregon Proposal Location Abiqua Falls

Abiqua Falls is the most beautiful location for an Oregon Proposal. Michael was looking to propose to his girlfriend Staci, while on vacation in Oregon. He had seen pictures online for Abiqua Falls, so he reached out to me to capture him proposing. I headed to the falls trailhead early in the morning and made the hike down. I set up my tripod and waited for Michael and Stacy to hike on by. Sure enough, they made their way down the old logging road and slightly technical trail to the falls. Michael asked me to snap a photo of them with his iPhone, and then he made his move. After he dropped to one knee, Staci responded with a quick yes. After they admired Staci’s new ring we took some beautiful photos with them and the amazing falls.

     If you’re looking for one of the best places to propose, Abiqua Falls has to be in the top 5 locations for Oregon. The falls are surrounded by columns of basalt and stunning. Finding Abiqua can also be quite challenging. You can google the trailhead but that will only get you so far. Once you’ve found the real trailhead there is very little, to no direction to the path. Path number one is a slight incline, with a few ropes to help you out. You then reach the river an hike along the rocky shoreline. Path number two takes you down a steep eroding hillside and can be quite dangerous. Either way, you go, it’s worth the trip.
